About me
Marc Bessange Photographer
I’m Marc Bessange, a photographer dedicated to an intimate, classic, and timeless exploration of the male form, working primarily in black and white.
During the 2000s, I served as a resident photographer for the French gay magazine IDol, where I developed my distinctive voice. My work, which captures quiet strength, vulnerability, and sensuality, appeared in various European publications and was collected in two books: Marc Bessange (Euros) and French Affair.
My journey eventually brought me to Montréal, where I stepped away from photography for a long and necessary pause. I am now returning to my art with renewed purpose, curious to see how my classic aesthetic finds its place in a world increasingly shaped by digital culture, social media, and the selfie.
I invite you to follow this ongoing journey as I bring the timeless into conversation with the contemporary.
